Sponsored Dog Walk

* POSTPONED DUE TO ILLNESS – DATE TBC. See here for more information.

Calling all dog owners!

We are hosting a Sponsored Dog Walk on Sunday 9th September, 6:00pm – 8:00pm (approx) to raise money for the Better Dogs Hotel who cared for, treated and transported Luna, making her adoption possible. The walk will follow the Beamer Trail in Witton Park, Blackburn, as part of the Witton Weavers Way, and will be meeting at the Main Entrance of Witton Park. It will take approx. two hours to complete but is an easy path ‘with some moderate ascents and descents’ however there are access points along the route for smaller pups to enter/exit as needed so everyone is welcome! Including anyone who doesn’t own a dog but still wants to walk with us! The more the merrier!

Sponsored Dog Walk

This will be a fantastic opportunity for friends, old and new, to get together with their four-legged friends to socialize and exercise whilst aiding this wonderful shelter. In height of the tourist season, their three man team can care for up sixty stray animals and they work tirelessly to rescue and re-home as many as they possibly can. They are some of the most passionate people I have ever been so fortunate enough to meet. For more information on the work they do, visit Loving Luna and Friends.

100% of the funds raised will go to the shelter to pay for food, toys, medicine, vaccinations, treatments and travel expenses

To attend, we ask that you collect a sponsorship form and ask friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you and your canine companion OR  alternatively, you can make a donation. On the day, there will also be refreshments provided, a doggy raffle and t-shirts for sale.

Contact myself via the Contact Us page, email lovinglunaandfriends@gmail.com or call 07930485007 to confirm your attendance.
